Meet the Owner
Hey everyone! My name is Briana Fedorko and I am the owner and graphic designer of Blue Flower Graphic design. If we've never met, I extend a virtual handshake to you and for those who are familiar, hello again!
First, let me say, I am completely new to blogging, but I am ready to dive in and hopefully provide some creative thoughts and inspiration for you. I decided to name this blog, "Keeping Up with Blue".
Let me begin by telling you a little about myself. I have lived in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area my whole life, I have two older brothers (one who works in healthcare, the other an area school teacher), I am a very proud graduate of Luzerne County Community College and Wilkes University where I majored in Graphic Design and minored in Art, and I am truly a "jill-of-all-trades"
From a young age, my dad got me into all sorts of outdoor activities from racing dirt bikes, fishing for huge catfish in the "Susque", archery, you name I have probably done it. On my girly side, I am super good at meandering through the aisles of Tjmaxx, a collector of pottery and dishes (only the unique kind), crafting all kinds of things, a lover of wildflowers and pretty dainty things, designer handbags, and dancing while cooking (the wine really helps). I am trying my hardest to get back into reading the dozens of books that have collected dust over the years and I love a good magazine. Recently, I went on a east-coast road trip with my boyfriend and that was probably the most fun I ever had traveling. I love to go anywhere and experience all the culture and beauty out there.
I have always been creative. I recall making menus with cut-out pieces of food from restaurant flyers or magazines and typing out the menu on my windows 97 computer, and scrapbooking everything from pictures I drew in kindergarten to movie tickets just recently viewed. I was that girl who took woodshop in middle school instead of chorus, just so I can make something. I also always had in natural ability to lead, but I was very shy until I went to college and grew out of that. I always wanted to be a CEO or business owner since I was a kid, when I didn't even know what that meant, but I'll give credit to my mom, especially, who never once said I couldn't do/be something. I found this quote once on Pinterest that I decided to call my life motto, "big dreams, good music, and expensive taste". Big dreams for never settling and trying to live the life I imagined, good music because it really sets the mood or helps your mood for that matter, and expensive taste to always keep myself focused on my goals of having a mansion like a celebrity LOL.
If you ask anyone at any point what I'm doing, the answer is probably working. I am always staying busy and when I am not busy, I don't know what to do with myself. Creating and designing is literally my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. I get to help people bring their ideas to life and watch them get excited to show it to the world. In my opinion, there is no greater job than a graphic designer as I get to help people grow their business or make something really cool that brings a smile to their face and creates a good memory. It's like when you get a really funny birthday card and save it forever or you hold onto the box of your favorite perfume....some designer out there made that! Hello designer appreciation LOL!
In another post, I'd like to discuss how I started graphic designing and my inspiration for the name behind my company. Stay tuned and be well!
